Mags Creative Signs With Creative Artists Agency

Leading entertainment and sports agency Creative Artists Agency (CAA) has signed Mags Creative, one of the UK’s most successful independent podcast production companies.

Founded by sisters Hannah Russell and Faith Russell with a focus on uplifting women’s voices, Mags Creative works with individuals and brands to transform their stories to audio, garnering millions of downloads with such chart-topping shows as: It Can’t Just Be Me, a life advice podcast hosted by Anna Richardson; Carolina Herrera Presents: Walk Tall, a career podcast hosted by author and content creator Toni Tone, designed to empower the next generation of women to reach their full potential in the workplace; and Blended, hosted by Kate Ferdinand, a podcast to celebrate blended families, exploring the stories of relationships bound by love, no matter the circumstances.

The company has recently developed a podcast with youth charity The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, set to launch this summer, created hand-in-hand with 30 young people, ranging in age from 14 to 24.

Since its launch in 2018, the company has been honoured with numerous awards, including Best Network at the 2022 British Podcast Awards and several awards at the 2022 ARIAs.

“We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve signed with leading entertainment agency, CAA. As we focus on continuing to serve mass audiences and staying at the forefront of content innovation, we will be working closely with CAA to deepen partnerships and expand our reach internationally,” said Mags Creative co-founder, Hannah Russell.

The company was recently selected as one of the production partners for the BBC Sounds Audio Lab Programme, a training and development accelerator with one big ambition – to amplify the next-generation of podcast producers and audio creatives. Anouska Lewis, who is passionate about how our shared past helps us to connect with others and our environments, is bringing her vision to life by working with Mags Creative to produce Hometown Boring. Hometown Boring explores the untold history of areas across the UK considered unattractive, while aiming to turn her feelings of deflation towards her own home town into celebration.

CAA will identify opportunities for Mags Creative in the audio content space, with a focus on international expansion and adaptations of their IP across film, television, publishing, and live entertainment.
