Mags Creative hires ex-BBC Assistant Commissioner as new Head of Production

Mags Creative, the award-winning podcast company, is delighted to announce the hire of ex-BBC Assistant Commissioner and 30 under 30 winner James Norman-Fyfe

James has joined as Head of Production – a newly created role at Mags Creative – as the business evolves and goes from strength to strength.

James brings 5 years of experience at the BBC, as well as a background in strategic communications. His remit will cover maintaining the highest of production standards as well as being responsible for the professional development of an ambitious team. James will also work closely with the clients at Mags Creative – whether that’s brands, commissioning platforms or sponsors. 

During his time at the BBC, James worked on programming across BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 6 Music, as well as in the BBC’s Music On Demand Commissioning Unit. Most recently he had specific responsibility for the day-to-day running of the BBC’s ‘Back To Back Sounds’ music programming offer. 

Mags Creative is a multi-award-winning professional podcast production and promotion company, founded by sisters Hannah and Faith Russell, in 2018.

Reaching millions of ears every month, Mags won two ARIAS awards for Life Sentence and Puffin’s Mission Imagination podcast, and GOLD for Best Network at the British Podcast Awards in 2022.
